Verifiable Science

In a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study involving 102 subjects, BergacynFF® (600 mg/day for 12 weeks) provided significant support for healthy liver fat metabolism, as assessed by CAP scores.2 In another randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled study of 80 subjects, BergacynFF® (600 mg/day) significantly improved markers of oxidative stress after 16 weeks, demonstrating reductions in circulating malondialdehyde (MDA) and increases in glutathione peroxidase (GPx) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). Supplementation also supported vascular endothelial function.4 This formula additionally provides berberine, an alkaloid shown in vitro to moderate lipid accumulation in liver cells.5-8 Preclinical models indicate that berberine activates hepatic AMP kinase (AMPK) and sirtuin 1 (SIRT1), key regulators involved in supporting fat utilization and moderating fat synthesis in the liver.7,8-10†
