Science & Research

Verifiable Science

RevitalAge Ultra is a scientifically researched combination of acetyl-l-carnitine (ALC) and alpha lipoic acid (ALA) offered with antioxidant and mitochondrial support cofactors. It promotes healthy aging through mechanisms involving gene expression, mitochondrial function, cellular energy production and antioxidant protection. Specifically, alpha lipoic acid, acetyl-l-carnitine and resveratrol support mitochondria synthesis by promoting healthy activity of the key enzyme AMP kinase (AMPK).1 Nicotinamide mononucleotide (NMN) is a unique form of vitamin B3 that gets converted into Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+). NAD+ declines with age and is an essential coenzyme for a number of enzymes involved with energy production and cellular repair.2 Among these NAD+ dependent enzymes are the sirtuin family, considered to be master switches of metabolism and regulators of aging. Preliminary research suggests NMN supports synthesis of NAD+ in tissues, supporting cellular function and longevity, energy metabolism, aerobic capacity and glucose homeostasis.3-5 PhytoLongevity, a polyphenol blend containing cranberry, wild blueberry, Orleans strawberry and spinach extracts, provides polyphenols that have been studied for their cardiometabolic and neurocognitive benefits.6,7 Preclinical research on aging has revealed the patented combination of acetyl-l-carnitine (ALC), alpha lipoic acid (ALA) and biotin, used under license with Juvenon, Inc., can promote longevity. CoQ10 and resveratrol offer antioxidant protection from free radicals that contribute to cellular aging.8 Resveratrol also supports the expression of genes in the cardiovascular system and brain associated with life span in preclinical studies.9 pTeroPure is pure, clinically researched pterostilbene, the methylated analog of resveratrol. It promotes cardiometabolic health by supporting healthy PPAR alpha receptor activity and may provide additional antioxidant support when combined with resveratrol.10,11‡
